Download 2.0.x Version

The 2.0.0 final version is not tested on all windows versions. Also it is only tested at 1024x768 and 1280x1024 screen resolutions. The final 2.0.0 is released on the 40th birthday of startrek (8 Sep 2006).
The voice-control software that is included is still beta. On some computers the software is not working (yet)!

Remember: First uninstall the last beta/version and then install this new one!

Please report bugs so i can improve the next version of the LCARS Terminal.

You must have directX 7 or higher installed before you can install this program!
Before installing this version, uninstall the previous version or install this version into another directory.
This is the complete version of the LCARS Terminal program. You need to install this. All modules are included.
Download the zip file. Unpack the zipfile into a directory and then run the setup program. Then the LCARS Terminal will be installed. On some machines you have to reboot before you can continue the setup but the setup program will tell this to you. If you have to reboot you have to start the setup program again and then it will install correctly.
Win95 users: Check the Forum/FAQ for install problems.

This are the dhtmled.ocx and needed files. You only have to install them if you get the message in the padd module. It is needed to create email messages with html support.

Added VoiceControl module to use your voice to control the lcars terminal. At this moment only the buttons are supported.

Several bug fixes.
Changed the registration routine. All 1.0.x users that bought the lcars terminal after 1 january 2004 will receive a free 2.0.x upgrade. Also the limit of the 1 year for the 2.0 keys is removed. Keys will just like the 1.0.x registration for all 2.0.x versions.

Bug Fixed: Padd now you can delete log entries.
Bug Fixed: Explorer now you can copy/move/shortcut to the root of a harddisk/device.
Bug Fixed: Shell is now having 5 different times. When you press with the right button on the time on the rightbottom then it will change the time to another time layout. The last 2 are stardates. I'm planning to include more time layouts.

GENERAL: This was the last mayor beta. I hope all bugs are now removed. I'm started with the support of more screen modes so that will be included in the next release candidate of the 2.0!
Also the SHELL will be a extra module that will be included in the final 2.0 version. But will not be a FINAL. This because it will not work on all computers. On some it works fine and on others it work not fine.

PADD: Update: You can change the directories where the padd is saving the logbook, todo and notes. So it is now possible to change it into a folder for example to sync with a pocketPC so you can create and edit the logbook,notes and todo items and then sync them.
PADD: update: When receiving email with the Do NOT DELETE on host enabled messages were always received. Now the message id's are stored in a file so messages are only received once.

PADD: Bug fixed: When sending email with an , in the to/from field it was not send.
PADD: Updated: CC and BCC is now working.
PADD: Updated: When messages are send then they are only moved to the send items directory when the message is deliverd. Also when sending the message and it is not successfull it will be displayed in the send/receive window.
SCIENCE: Updated: Multiple wav file support. Also it is now possible to play the current wav file again via the new play button. If you want to use multiple wav files it works exact the same as the multiple pictures/movies. If the text file is called seven.txt then the first wavfile is called seven.wav and if you want more you can call them seven-1.wav, seven-2.wav, seven-3.wav

SHELL: Bug fixed: Startup/Exit bug fixed. When you minimized or exit the terminal with the shell on, then it was not started again. This should be fixed now. Thanks to Ralf Voepel for his bugreport about the registry!

PADD: Bugfix: SMTP routines rewritten and replaced by new routines. I hope this will solve the send email bug.
Science: You can scroll with the mouse/keyboard in the listboxes and itemtext.

New: Added the debug routines. It is only in the padd for sending/receiving email and in the shell module. All users that have problems with the send/receive and shell can enable the debug option in the security module. Then a debug.txt is saved in the directory where you installed the Lcars Terminal. Please email that file to me and i will try to figure out where it goes wrong.

Bug Fixed: All, transparant routine only worked on win2000 and above. So i have included the old routine for win 95/98/me. Because of this routines you need 32bit display else the corners are purple instead of transparant.
Bug Fixed: Padd, sending multiple emails was not working. Now you can use the ADDRESS button to select multiple receipents from the addressbook.
Added Feature: Padd, forwarding email is now working and the address buttons for the to,cc and bcc field are now working.
Bug Fixed: Padd, when saving an attachment the sort display name was used instead of the real filename. Now it is saving the real filename instead of the short name.

BUG Fixed: Exporting Database files was not working correctly.
IMPROVED: Text messages in the Email module are now converted to HTML and hyperlinks (urls) are now converted to clickable links.

Warning
If you get a lot of Errormessages about the MCI multimedia stuff, go to the security module and turn OFF the multiple sounds. This should be normal set to OFF but i forgot about it and it is included wrong in the setup. In the next beta's it will be included correctly.
